The information detailed below will assist you in the final step of your auction purchase: getting your item shipped safely and efficiently to you.

It is your responsibility as the buyer to make all shipping arrangements with a shipper of your choice. Third-party shippers handle all shipping, packing and handling, and we have outlined steps to make finding a shipper as easy as possible. If needed, Wright is happy to provide assistance to guide you thru the shipping process.

Below we have included a description of shipment methods along with a list of shippers that frequently work with our clients; these shippers understand the care and handling required for design objects and art. All third-party shippers listed are familiar with Wright and will provide you with an estimate for their services - before or after your purchase. If you are the successful bidder on a lot, you can contact any of them with the following information:

1. Buyer’s Name*
2. Auction Date
3. Lot number(s)
4. Ship-to address
5. Insured Value

* = This name MUST match the name on your Wright auction invoice. If you would like to release your items to another name, please fax a signed release letter to 312 235 4178.

Once you have selected a shipper, the shipper will contact Wright directly to schedule the pickup of your items. Please keep in mind that only items paid in full will be released for shipment. All auction items must be removed from Wright within 30 days following the sale. Storage charges may apply as outlined in the terms and conditions of sale. Wright and R. Wright, Inc. shall have no liability for any damage of property left on its premises after the date of sale.

All items are stored at Wright’s warehouse and the pick up address for all shipments is:

Blanket Wrap Service

This service is best for medium to large furniture. Because they transport via ground service, it is available only within the contiguous United States. Blanket wrap shippers individually wrap your pieces to protect the surfaces during transport. They provide door-to-door service: scheduling a pick-up with us at the gallery and delivering it at your convenience. Cost varies and is determined by the size of your shipment and your location. Unless you have made alternate arrangements, payment for these shippers is cash on delivery (COD).

Packing/crating and freighting service

This service is best for small to medium sized items (both furniture and objects) and these shippers transport via both ground and air service so international delivery is available. The shipper professionally packs the items and arranges transport via freight service. These shippers also provide door-to-door service, though you are responsible for unpacking your purchase and often for the disposal of the crate once delivered. Cost varies and is determined by the size of your shipment and your location. Typically, payment for these services is required in advance. This is the only method available for international shipments and a proforma invoice stating the purchase price must be included with the shipment.
