LCM with developmental mounts
Herman Miller
USA, c. 1952
aniline-dyed plywood, chrome-plated steel, rubber
22¼ w × 25¼ d × 27½ h in (57 × 64 × 70 cm)

This rare LCM has transitional mounting hardware on the front shock mounts of the seat. The early experiments with the welded rubber yielded a number of working solutions to the problem of attaching plywood to a metal frame. In this example, a coupling was incorporated around the front legs that surrounds the leg and is subsequently attached to the rubber mounts with a screw.

estimate: $2,000–3,000
