This stool in one of only a few examples custom made for the Yamigawa Corporation's shop in the Axis Building in the Roppongi neighborhood of Tokyo. This design was never put into production, and although it is made of steel, Kuramata's stool appears lightweight because of its minimal form.Literature:Axis, Quarterly on Trends in Design, Spring 1988
