Ico Parisi designed this unique table. A true Renaissance man, Parisi was an architect, painter, performance and installation artist, photographer and industrial designer. The structure of this work reveals Parisi’s architectural training and his artistic sensibility. Produced by Fontana Arte, the table features dramatic, yet delicate, thick glass that creates the illusion of an expansive surface made of water. The lense-like edge of the crystal refracts the image of the surrounding room adding a mesmerizing effect. The architectonic base has a dual function; not only do the eight supports hold the glass top, but a flower box is suspended between them allowing for the addition of color to this one-of-a-kind, impressive form.
