An Iconic image

Robert Indiana’s LOVE is among the most iconic images of the Pop Art movement of the 1960s. LOVE was originally introduced in 1965 (two years before the first of many print editions) when The Museum of Modern Art, New York commissioned Robert Indiana to design their Christmas card. For the project, Indiana presented LOVE in four color variations; the red, blue and green version was selected by the museum marking the first appearance of Indiana’s epoch-defining LOVE.
