Arlecchino e Arlecchina

These Harlequin (Arlecchino) figures date from 1950 and are perhaps the most rare and highly accomplished figures ever designed by Bianconi for Venini. Acquired from Maurizio Cocchi in the 1990s, they were featured prominently in his 1993 monograph, I Vetri di Fulvio Bianconi. The extreme, yet elegant simplification of form along with the masterful use of very sophisticated murrines make these figures superb examples of Bianconi’s finest work at Venini.
