Fulvio Bianconi

As documented in the drawing at the beginning of the catalog, Audrey Friedman and Haim Manishevitz visited Fulvio Bianconi in 1985. While there, they acquired a number of pieces, some of which appear in this catalog. But more than this, the visit inspired these visionary dealer/collectors to pursue 50s Murano glass in earnest, which they have done consistently for the last 30 years.

Some of the rare Bianconi pieces in this selection were acquired at great expense, while others hold deep emotional significance for the collectors.  In the lives of impassioned collectors it is often more difficult to let go of a deeply loved piece than to acquire it, no matter how great the initial cost or effort. That said, the Bianconi pieces present in the Primavera Collection were selected with a great passion and specificity.
