A special auction of collected pieces from restaurant noma.
As noma prepares to open early next year, Wright presents a special auction of collected pieces from the groundbreaking Copenhagen restaurant. Carefully considered, and featuring pieces produced by artists and designers from across the Nordic region, the auction includes interior furnishings, décor and tableware that helped establish noma’s distinct aesthetic.
The sale is comprised of nearly five hundred lots—from classic chairs by Hans J. Wegner and J.L. Møller, hand-carved wooden cutlery and ceramic dishes, to the custom twenty foot long table from the restaurant’s private dining room—the auction celebrates the history of this groundbreaking restaurant.

“The design helps make the first impression. I actually feel that we’ve managed to create a place where the design works and goes hand in hand with the function.”
Wright is publishing a special catalog celebrating the award-winning and innovative restaurant. The hardcover book has more than 100 pages and features brand-new photography by Ditte Isager.

Led by its founder and head chef René Redzepi, the two-Michelin starred restaurant has worked with an intimate network of purveyors to develop a menu that gives guests a clear and delicious sense of time and place, and that celebrates the Nordic region’s ingredients, seasons and culture.
Earlier this year, the restaurant, four times recognized as the World’s Best by Restaurant Magazine, closed at the eighteenth-century harbur-side warehouse it has called home for fourteen years.
“We always wanted the design of the restaurant to be simple and natural – the same approach that we take to the food. As keywords I would mention Nordic, unpretentious and simple.”
