The Groovenians was a CGI-animated show created by painter Kenny Scharf for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim in 2002. It follows outcast teenagers Jet and Glindy as they escape their stifling home planet of Jeepers to find refuge and acceptance in the utopic artist's planet of Groovenia. While the pilot featured big names like Dennis Hopper, Paul Reubens, Vincent Gallo and RuPaul voicing the characters, and a title song by The B-52's, the series was not picked up by the network.

This drawing is from the early planning of the show and displays Scharf's instantly recognizable style.
