The earliest Dalia design for Fontana Arte was made in 1953 in crystal and brass and can be attributed to Giuseppe Raimondi, one of the firms designers. Under the artistic direction of Max Ingrand, Fontana Arte produced the popular Dalia in various forms for a number of years. One variation of this form was exhibited at the 10th Triennale in Milan in 1954; other variants include a version with petals gathered on a calyx (1954) and a double version with two rows of petals (1958).
