For some reason or other there was in me the desire to see the world clean and fresh and alive, as primitive things are clean and fresh and alive.

The original owner of these prints received them directly from Aaron Siskind, who was a teacher at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence at the time. The original owner was a graphic designer at Malcolm Grear, Inc.—Grear was also a RISD alum and teacher and they had met through him. Above is a photograph of the original owner (left) with Siskind (center), and Dale Chihuly (right), who was also a professor at RISD .
