Some people look at work and if it’s abstract, it’s like a puzzle they want to put together. And some people don’t need that. One little boy, he was about seven [looked at my painting and] said, “This is beautiful!” He didn’t need it to come together, he had that kind of mentality to just say, “This is beautiful!” Some people just can’t think that way. When I get myself into painting now, it’s hard to put in the words.
