This Floreali vase is something of an anomaly. Composed entirely of glass fragments, it is certainly an experimental work, most likely from the late 1920s, and was probably designed and executed by Guiseppe Barovier. The shape of the vase, the manner in which the floral imagery is presented, the colors, fine quality, and even the five-point pontil all suggest Guiseppe as the maker. However, works such as this point to the fact that historical documentation in the field of 20th century Murano glass is still evolving.
