Claudio Salocchi (1934-2012)
Italian Claudio Salocchi is internationally recognized for his product designs, interiors and architectural projects. Interested in space and function, Salocchi studied materials such as aluminum alloys and work space configuration to develop optimal forms for productive work spaces. Salocchi’s designs, from his rotating Centro bookcase to his adjustable Appoggio stool, offer creative solutions to everyday design dilemmas.
Salocchi worked with many manufacturers including Sormani, Skipper, Lumenform, Ghianda and Bottega Gadda. His work has been widely documented and throughout his career Salocchi achieved numerous awards including the Compasso d’Oro in 1979.
