In 1998, Damien Hirst collaborated on the establishment of a Notting Hill restaurant called Pharmacy which was awarded the prize for best-designed restaurant from the Carlton London Restaurant Award that year. The interior was designed in its entirety by the artist and included a number of his major artworks. Upon closure of the restaurant in 2003, a large-scale sale was conducted of its contents, including artworks, fixtures, furniture and tableware.
