An Expedition Watch

The Eterna 'KonTiki' is a true tool watch. Legend has it, that in 1947, Thor Heyerdahl along with several crew members set sail from South America to the Tuamotu Islands in Polynesia on a wooden raft. This 5,000 mile journey came to be known as the KonTiki-Expedition, the name of the raft was called KonTiki. Thor and his crew members wore Eterna watches and this is how the 'KonTiki' got its name. It is interesting to note that the Eterna KonTiki was the choice of a multitude of the world’s military, most famously the Israeli Defense Forces.
