In the first photograph, Lunar Module Pilot William Anders and Commander Frank Borman are preparing to enter Lunar Module Test Article (LTA-1). Borman and Anders would have been co-pilots in case of a lunar landing mission and extensively tested the Lunar Module system at Grumman Corporation (manufacturer of the LM).

Shown in the second photograph, Commander Frank Borman relaxes aboard the NASA Motor Vessel Retriever after suiting up for water egress training in the Gulf of Mexico.
