Works from the Collection of Alan Moss arrive in our New York gallery on September 30th with select lots from Design and Decoration. Highlights from the sale include a floor lamp by Edgar Brandt, two table lamps attributed to Alberto and Diego Giacometti for Syrie Maugham, an occasional table by Eugene Printz with decoration by Jean Dunand as well as a selection of works by Paul Poiret that were included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2007 exhibition, Poiret: King of Fashion. Significant works by Ilonka Karasz and Maison Desny will be on view alongside several works by mid-century decorator-designers such as Karl Springer, Jean Royére and Piero Fornasetti. The exhibition boasts quality and workmanship and a comprehensive view of design and decoration of the 20th century.
