Important Italian Glass

Important Italian Glass: Selections from Private Collections opens in our New York gallery on December 1st. Following a series of successful single-owner sales, this auction and exhibition features masterworks specially selected from private collections from around the world. We were granted access to several important collections, among them that of Nicolas Pecheur of Montpellier whose works have been documented in some of the field’s most important texts and featured in notable exhibitions. The sale illustrates the creativity and virtuosity that defines 20th century Italian glass with important, and in some cases unique, works by Fulvio Bianconi, Flavio Poli, Carlo Scarpa and Ercole Barovier among others. Highlights include an exceptional Mermaid by Bianconi, a rare and monumental a Reticello vase by Tommaso Buzzi and a beautiful murrine vase by Paolo Venini.

All lots will be on view in our New York gallery and the auction will occur in Chicago on December 8th.
