A great close-up of the Agena Target Docking Vehicle floating in space only 12 feet away from the Gemini capsule.

The photograph was shot taken by Buzz Aldrin through the 80mm lens of the Maurer space camera and Kodak Ektachrome SO-368 medium speed film as both spacecraft were station-keeping before docking. An eight-foot L-band radar antenna rises just aft of the docking cone, which is fitted to receive Gemini XII’s nose.
