Autodromo Intereuropa

Aly Michalka

Aly Michalka is a singer-songwriter and musician. She is half of the musical duo Aly & AJ (briefly 78violet), alongside her sister AJ Michalka since 2004. Both have a passion for vintage timepieces.

Autodromo is a watch company that expresses the spirit of motoring through watches, blending a contemporary, minimalist sensibility with mid-century vintage character. This Intereuropa with a Nassau Blue dial takes its name from the Coppa Intereuropa, held at Monza for sporting coupes from 1949 to 1964 as a support race for the Italian Grand Prix. These cars from the stables of Italian manufacturers did not look out of place on the track or in an art gallery, and it is this dual purpose that inspired this timepiece.

The watch is fitted with a Swiss ETA 7001 manual movement with a Nassau blue dial and a K1 glass chapter ring with 3D numbering inspired by 1950s race car gauges. It is partnered with a Saffiano leather rally strap, made famous when it was patented by Prada in 1913 for its leather luggage sets.

The Brian LaViolette Foundation was formed by the LaViolette family to honor the memory of their son, Brian, who passed away in a swimming accident in Green Bay, Wisconsin when he was just fifteen years old in 1992. Brian was not only an excellent student, athlete, and musician, but he loved watches, starting his own collection when he was four years of age.

Since 1992, the Brian LaViolette Scholarship Foundation has presented 1,058 scholarships to deserving college-bound students in Northeastern Wisconsin, the United States, and other parts of the world. The Foundation continues Brian's legacy by helping high school seniors financially to achieve their educational dreams and, at the same time, providing them with encouragement and inspiration.
