Wright is pleased to present Important Italian Glass: Including the Collection of Robert and Lisa Kessler at auction on March 9th. The sale begins with the Kessler Collection and features masterworks by Carlo Scarpa, Napoleone Martinuzzi, Paolo Venini, Fulvio Bianconi, Dino Martens, Archimede Seguso and Thomas Stearns among others. With exceptional provenance and exhibition history, the collection boasts numerous rare—and in some instances unique works—most notably exceptional Fenicio and Bollicine vases by Carlo Scarpa, graphic A Dame and Mezzaluna works by Paolo Venini, and a rare Vetro Vulcano vase designed by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso.

The second chapter of the sale is replete with rare and exciting works from various international collections and includes pieces from the 19th century to the 1980s. Highlights include early works by Salviati, Soffiato vessels designed by Vittorio Zecchin and masterworks from the 1930s and 40s including a rare pendant lamp designed by Carlo Scarpa. Exceptional Con Macchie and Fasce vases by Fulvio Bianconi are followed by an exciting group of prototype sculptural works designed by Toni Zuccheri.
