Evelyn Wyld worked closely with Eileen Gray from 1920 through 1927; the two artists operated a carpet studio in Paris starting in 1910. In 1927 Wyld began a partnership with Elisabeth Eyre de Lanux, with Wyld acting as the chief designer. Wyld's designs are characterized by geometric patterns and the experimental use of piling and natural fibers.
