The influence of Dieter Rams is wide reaching but possibly most famously in the design of several Apple products, including the iPhone calculator app which was modeled on the Braun ET44 calculator designed by Rams and Dietrich Lubs. 

Ram’s ability to bring form to a product so that it clearly, concisely and immediately communicates its meaning is remarkable. The completeness of the relationship between shape and construction, material and process, defines his work and remains a conspicuously rare quality.
