Set is comprised of a syrup pitcher, sugar shaker, salt shaker, and a tray; four pieces total. Impressed manufacturer's mark to each example ‘Chase U.S.A.’ with centaur mark.

Russel Wright started his career designing theatrical sets. (It was through Maverick Theater that he met his future wife Mary Einstein.) A theatrical career, however, was demanding and soon Wright—at the urging of his wife—turned to designing objects. Among his earliest designs were objets d’art made after a series of large scale circus animals he had made for a production at Maverick. These early forms were popular and launched his industrial career.
