Design Masterworks

Opening in New York on May 5, Design Masterworks is an exhibition and auction of exceptional works of historic and contemporary design. Featuring rare and important works by architects, designers and artists, this exhibition will include highlights such as a rare and early chair by Charles Eames, Eero Saarinen and Larry Perkins for the Crow Island School, works by Josef Hoffmann and a rare table by Pierre Jeanneret from Chandigarh. The sale also includes a monumental Sonambient by Harry Bertoia and an outstanding mobile by Leo Amino. The historic will be shown alongside the contemporary, with select works by Ron Arad, Marc Newson and Maarten Baas. This remarkable sale will also include a seminal moment in architecture, Frank Gehry’s Winton Guest House, which is being sold by the University of St. Thomas.
