Craft and Design
Richard John started his career working for industrial design offices such as Henry Dreyfuss Associates in New York before relocating to Santa Cruz, California and focusing on his woodworking career. His sculptural forms and designed objects have been included in many exhibitions including California Craft IX
in Sacramento and Craft Multiples
at the Renwick Gallery, Washington DC. Richard John's Music Rack design pictured in the Washington Post in June, 1975.
